Is this a fake Heuer Bund

Post by River Rat » Mon Nov 19, 2012 2:10 pm

I notice this Heuer bund on Ebay today. And the case looks funny to me.On most bund they have Bundwdeswehr not just bund. And the four corners on the case by the lugs and bezel ring they should be flat then it slope's down don't see that on this case. And the pusher look wrong.Am I right on this one or is this legit.

I guess some cases have BUND and some Bundwdeswehr but that none stepped case at the four corners by the lugs bothers me.

After comparing it to several examples on the web, I'd say it's a fake. Although the dial and bezel ring look authentic (to me), the two things that trouble me are both with the case:

...the lack of the 'step' you described, and

...the lack of the tiny 'notching' at the outer edge of the case around the pusher openings, which you can clearly see in these two examples, but not in the eBay watch.

I'm not convinced... :tap:

Until/unless I see other legit examples with cases like that I will be skeptical.

Still can't believe a questionable Heuer Bund with that case to most Heuer collectors sold for over 2700.00 dollars

Looks like a Sinn 156 case mite of been used but the rest mite of came from a Heuer Bund ?On some of the Sinn 156 they had the flat top case and the stepped case.
