back to 'the dark side'

Post by gr8sw » Wed Oct 24, 2012 10:33 am

been eyeing these for a while and happened upon a nice ebay auction by a Midwest jewelry store... it looked to me like a one-owner trade-in, so I took a chance... it even sold for well below market value  ... came with boxes, orig. bracelet and tag... and to boot, after the sale the owner mentions it was completely serviced and pressure-tested by his in-house watchmaker, which he conveniently forgot to mention in his auction ad :)

anyway, really liking it... it's an '84 8.5 million first year for the WG surrounds... never paid much attention to these as I was always attracted to the older Subs... but this pup is really a knockout! something about it that is just so right

cheers,
Peter

Looks like you did well. Does that one have drilled lug holes?

That pic displays aesthetic perfection, IMHO. I'm sold. Congrats on the fine score.

Yep...you can actually see one of the lug holes (bottom left).

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
