Comparison pics of SEA-01 and SEA-02
Hi Guys,
I am just preparing some drawings and made a few renders of the new SEA-02 and SEA-01 side by side.
Just to note, some details like the endlinks might change slightly when I meet the case maker in Switzerland next month.

I know you like them small, but I'd love to see a slightly larger crown.

Was there ever a no date dial for the SEA-1 made.

I agree on the big crown.
The dial - handset - bezel of the "2" is perfect.
I'd also like to see the case chamfer continue onto the lugs. It would still maintain the familiar SAS shape we all love, but the chamfers would refine it.

looks like the crown may be the same size but recessed into the case.
I like it recessed but like the others, maybe a little more to grab on to, if that makes sense
love the extra work on the case and the more prominent dial markings

The small crown is my least favorite part of the Sea-01. I don't love it here, either.

That's the first thing that I thought. Wider and slightly longer.CGSshorty wrote:I know you like them small, but I'd love to see a slightly larger crown.

Re: Comparison pics of SEA-01 and SEA-02
Would it be an option to make the SAS logo brushed and applied?

Like the Irish Made designation.

Just slightly larger, but not longer.andrema wrote:That's the first thing that I thought. Wider and slightly longer.CGSshorty wrote:I know you like them small, but I'd love to see a slightly larger crown.

That would put this over the top.andrema wrote:Would it be an option to make the SAS logo brushed and applied?

I thought the applied logo looked tacky on the Sea-01andrema wrote:Would it be an option to make the SAS logo brushed and applied?

I think if it was brushed it would look less tacky.hoppyjr wrote:I thought the applied logo looked tacky on the Sea-01andrema wrote:Would it be an option to make the SAS logo brushed and applied?

The logo will be painted, I wasn't crazy about the applied one.

A) I think it looks just about perfect, seriously. I get what people are saying about the crown, but I could live with it as is. Or bigger, within reason.
B) I disagree on the chamfer; adding a related chamfer to the lugs with make the interface with the hex heads too delicate looking. OMMV.
C) I love the Irish made. I temper my love with the knowledge that people are getting douchier all the time: just be sure not to open yourself up to Bremontitis where people go apeshit over the movement being sourced. We all get it, but not everyone is DWC material (I know, goes without saying).
D) Seriously, the drafts look great.

I like # 2, but ditch both irish/swiss made at the bottom, give it a bigger crown and taper the lugs. Please keep the BOR bracelet...looks great.

I agree on the Irish Made. Besides the design, anything else being "made" in Ireland?streetracer101 wrote:I like # 2, but ditch both irish/swiss made at the bottom, give it a bigger crown and taper the lugs. Please keep the BOR bracelet...looks great.
To me it's the same as USA made, USA built etc. Don't put it on the dial if it is truly not made there. I know many Swiss watches are not 100 % made in Switzerland either of course, but Swiss made is a selling point to many, where I don't see Irish Made being a selling point. Not trying to be douchey, just being blunt about it.

Re: Comparison pics of SEA-01 and SEA-02
A white dial was suggested on the other SaS thread.
Would this be a possibility?
