Feed back wanted

Post by Graeme » Mon Jun 01, 2015 7:35 am

Hi Guys,
My wife has been hard at work today making a small travel watch roll and I wanted to run it by you guys.

These are photos of the prototype, and we have learned a few things that we will work on, one being the logo patch, I am going to get smaller ones made so it will fit in the corner instead of the larger one. We are still working on a price but probably around €25 - €30. Also available in black.

Also she can personalize it by embroidering your name on it.

Anyway here are a few pics what do you guys think?

I like it but the watch slots appear very large.
I would personally prefer the following options:
- two smaller watch pockets and a strap/tool pocket
-3 watch pockets.

I'd also favor a canvas strap to close it.

Very nice first try and I do like the style and camp.

Hi Brice,
Yes that's a good point, those pockets can be smaller so that there would be 3 small instead of two large.

We don't have any canvas straps but I do have a ton of those NATOs

I agree the patch should be sized and located so it is visible when the case is closed. I also think the NATO strap is fine, especially at the target price point.

As for the interior, I might suggest two slots maybe 60mm wide each for watches, another two slots approximately 30mm wide each for a couple of spare straps, and maybe two narrow pockets (maybe 10mm wide each), one for a strap changing tool and one for a tube of spare spring bars.

This configuration should give you a case that is approximately 20cm / 8 inches wide which is pretty good for a vacation travel case.

Looks good and I look forward to the progression of the project!

 cool on NATO strap for closure. Works well with the style too.
 I would definitely reduce the pocket size so it's fits a Pam snug maybe. Then add strap/tool section. I'd rock on for my trip to France this summer
Maybe also make larger one for 3 watches and strap/tool spot.

I like it. Make it two smaller watch slots and a slot for an extra strap and SAS tool or screwdriver and I am in.

Almost 6 months on my wife still doesn't know about my clandestine Mileata purchase, so a camouflage watch roll to hide it in would be useful!

I like it, but the logo patch is definitely WAY too big, and if it could accommodate an SAS SEA with associated strap tool and spare straps then that would be PERFECT

this is the thought that most guys will have in mind.... the design is good and the cases are very good. I have the one that holds 4 and one that holds 6...

Good idea, Graeme.

I know a nato strap for closure is cool, but I would prefer velcro so the case is more compact and easier to open and close.

Other side of the fence than most, but I dig the hell out of the zulu strap as a closure for a watch pack.

I might be in the minority, but I like the roll/case but not the use of camo material.
