SAS Air-1 on Canvas Yet?

Post by alund » Fri Nov 08, 2013 3:13 am

Those who received your SAS Air's have you tried them on a canvas strap yet. If so I would love to see some pictures
Thanks

I'm thinking leather or rubber is best. The polished bezel seems off for me with the canvas.

I wore my fully polished 000 on canvas all the time. Perfect.

I'm sure the watch will see a fair amount of time on leather but canvas is my favorite. The two straps that came with the watch look really nice and I will give them a try over the weekend. Not sure the SAS rubber strap is going to work out for this one but it's my favorite on the SEA-1, a lot of options with these watches!

I wonder if the Sea-01 bracelet would fit. I can't see why it wouldn't.

Will the end links work? The Sea is a thicker case, right?

The case itself appears to be identical in outside dimensions. The extra height of the Sea-01 is all in the case back. When sitting on a flat surface the Sea is barely taller than the Air. On the wrist the difference is huge.

The outside measurements are the same and the lugs are the same, the only difference is the section between the lugs, it is about 2 mm smaller. The endlinks will fit but they will rattle about because the little tabs on the bottom of the endlinks will not touch the case, therefore they will rattle back and forth.

I too wore my 000 on canvas and it rocked. I can't wait to see the Air on Drew's brown canvas. Plus the dark stitching will tie into the dark dial.
