I spun one that was too fat and it broke my junk.
 Got to have load bearing supports installed on the ceiling fan with them heavies.
I tried to use my knee's. :crybaby:

Dude. I’ve seen you pirouette.
I’m certainly no expert, but wouldn’t the spinner be the bottom?

The only female spinners I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing were 90lbs and always on top.

Regretfully opened this thread. Got a billetspin top. Pretty cool. Didn’t realize how low the center of gravity was. Hard to get a good spin. Half the time it ends up breakdancing.

What kind of base do you have in your first post?

Missed this.

The large base is from Drphil Gandini (FB and Insta) and will actually be put up for sale soon. It's a $300 base, and i have (i think) three lenses for it at $50 each from Bruce Charles: https://www.brucecharlesdesigns.com/blo ... -available If you're interested i'll give you a great deal.

Bruce also sells bases.

The other blown glass bases are from Derek at DB flame works: https://dbflameworks.bigcartel.com/ He uses borosilicate glass like the old pyrex we grew up with... it's hard in the 6.5 MOH scale, unlike conventional glass

A new station from George Sherwood which will utilize 75mm concave scientific lenses from amazon.

I procured a nicely decorated (unworking salvage) Hamilton pocket watch movement, he surrounded it in fordite, and wrapped it all in ambrosia spalted maple, which will patina nicely:

And the American waltham watch Co movement in Redwood burl. This time to display the dial on the back end, which can also accept a 75mm concave scientific lens:
