Surprise!
About a month ago, I lost my wedding ring; no idea where - just noticed one night it was gone.
Could have lost it anywhere.
I checked all around the house without luck.
I started to look on-line for a replacement, something other than gold since I would need to buy on-line.
My wife and I were sitting outside yesterday and she moved the Adirondack chair she was sitting on.

Did you lose weight? I don't think there's any way mine could come off on its own.

That’s a good day! I’ve taken to wearing a silicone one except for dress occasions. Safer for my finger and I don’t care if I loose it.

Re: Surprise!
I did buy one of those silicone Groove rings as a replacement. It works pretty well. So well, in fact, that I'm in no hurry to replace my old gold one.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 1:23 pmPretty funny; my first ring is somewhere off the coast of Fire Island.
Re: Surprise!
that's awesome. i've nearly lost mine a few times. my finger grows/shrinks a lot with temp changes. in the summer, it's nicely snug. but winter or when i come into a cold air conditioned place in the summer, it can get loose. i've even had a gold piece welded to the inside to tighten it up some after i lost 30 lbs a few years ago.
sometimes i wonder if the mix of gold/selenium (two tone, i designed it myself) makes it more susceptible to temp changes.

Re: Surprise!
Work glove is a likely scenario but you need a better story. Some kind of ***action*** got you really sweaty and the ring must have slipped right off.mattcantwin wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 7:45 amDefinitely not.
It may have come off in a work glove and then fallen out of the glove when I put the glove on the chair.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
