Soap ideas

Post by toxicavenger » Fri Jan 11, 2019 10:29 am

A little background. Here is Colorado Springs we live in a high altitude desert. It is super dry here and it common to have issues like dry skin. My family is big on natural products. For example all of our soaps are homemade and we use coconut oil for skin conditioning. One of the issues I have notice with natural soaps is the ones that claim have exfoliating properties really don't. It is more of a gentle rub if anything when using the soap.

The other day I was telling one my brothers that the dry skin was driving me crazy. He mention he had ashy elbows and they drive him crazy.

A few days later I get a package in the mail from him with some Marlowe soap inside. https://marloweskin.com/products/mens-body-scrub-soap

HOLY SHIT! I can sand down a VW Bug with this soap!!! It is like 80 grit sandpaper.

I used it this morning in the shower. Now when looking at that bar of soap I don't know whether or not to be in love with it, or scared. Did I mention it now looks like it was used on a bear?

The subject line of this soap should say "take no prisoners"

I’m perfectly happy with the rough oatmeal soap from Trader Joe’s.

Now that I’ve said that out loud, it will be discontinued.

Goop, GoJo and Lava were all available at the car dealership I work at in my youth. Those suckers will remove anything. But then “it puts the lotion on it’s skin” or you were one dry ass MF.

I know right. I do have to say this is one big ass bar of soap. If you go to most farmers markets they have 3 oz versions for almost $8

My family has been using this for years. Black soap. Made from natural ingredients and has ash/charcoal in it for exfoliation. Not expensive on Amazon.

Nice I will check that out when I get low on soap. I went on a spending spree recently so it might be a while. :crybaby:
