Looking for the warmest beanie.

Preferably one with thinner material that blocks some wind. Though thicker material will do.

I wear an UnderArmor one and it does the job.

Anything made of Polartec Wind Pro or Power Stretch will do the job. Most outdoor brands will have beanies made of both. I find Wind Pro to be even a little too warm in high exertion activities, so it’s perfect for around town.

Regardless of material, the key is to get one that fits properly and fully covers the bottom of your ears. I’ve been “out” in ones that were too loose to do so and gotten wind burn on the lower half of my ears. Not only does it hurt, but it also looks ridiculous.

Remember, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing!

I have a Carhartt one that cost me $12. I didn't think I was buying anything special, but I'm riding on moving trains at 20 degrees and somehow my ears are always warm with this one. I got it in the color called black/white. It's a speckled grey look.

Helly Hanson Lifa beanie or outdoor research windpro is my favorite.

I have a variety including the one above ^

I found that it’s not about warmest but most comfortable. I haven’t found any that don’t keep my head warm. But the one like the carhart is nice but bulky. I prefer a bit thinner. If I’m out for hours at a time I’ll take the carhat but if I’m just running about I’ll wear a Northface or Columbia m/

For me the beanie has to cover my whole head and ears (no metro shit wearing it just on the crown of your head) and it has to ventilate. Some will make you sweat. Which is a bad deal if you are outside a long time. The ones that I have that fit this need is the regular knit

After almost 10 years I picked up my first new beanie at Costco for $15. Did I mention it was a two pack? Badass :excited:
