I had have a Luxi for a year now. I am happy with it. One of the things that gave it a nod over the others was the ability to adjust the firmness. However, I haven’t altered it yet

I prefer latex over memory foam. It's springier and has a longer lifespan. Got one of these a couple years ago and consider it great value for the money. It's medium density on one side, firm on the other. I also got a 3" latex topper for added comfort.

Neat...I think this new business model has really impacted the bedding industry. I've always felt it (the industry) was somewhat of a racket. Our last Sealy purchase was fraught with misinformation, especially pricing.

There definitely seems like a microbrand of mattresses are popping up. Which is good because most mattress companies are full of shit it seems.

I’m looking for a good mattress. Any advice? Tired of tossing and turning at night.

We bought online from Loom & Leaf a few years ago and have been very happy about it. Not the cheapest of the online options, but a very high quality mattress and their white glove delivery was nice.

Yep, there are a few scams still left, including mattresses, tires, and eye glasses. The internet mattress boom is helping to get rid of 1 of them.
Happy with my Luxi purchase.

I would have bought eyeglasses online at a fraction of cost, but getting the bifocal vertical measurement done correctly is a big gamble when you don’t have the frames in hand.

I needed a new mattress 3 or 4 years ago. Went by mattress firm and those kind of places and could not believe what a new mattress cost. There was no way I way going to pay a over a grand.
I ended up getting a memory foam mattress in a box from Amazon for 2 or 3 hundred bucks. This was before casper, leesa, and the like was available.
I have been super pleased with it. When it wears out, I'm buying another no-name off amazon.

Thanks guys.
Regarding furniture, here's a couple of places that come to mind:
http://www.furniturelandsouth.com/
http://www.boyles.com/
Downside is the lead time and you have to know exactly the SKU, fabric, finishes etc. We got a high end wood/leather chair from the FLS outlet way below their cost.

Like I said in my earler post, I consider latex superior to memory foam for comfort and support and it will last a lot longer than a memory foam mattress. I got mine from sleepez.com. They're a reputable mattress manufactuerer, around since 1976. Another good latex mattress source is sleeponlatex.com. They both use quality latex and are known for great customer service. At the time I ordered from sleepez, they offered free returns, but now charge a fee for returns. Sleeponlatex has free returns. I also prefer latex pillows.

Yes that is correct. I also bought used shoes on ebay and complain about paying 99 cents for an app on my phone.
