BTW, Steve, my sleep doc and my primary physician have both wanted me to give up cigars for years. Hasn't happened yet. Still a cubaholic.

I never became comfortable with the mask.
I opted for an oral appliance instead; from a dentist that specialized in the devices.
It also takes some getting used to, but drastically reduced snoring issues and I prefer it to the CPAP alternative.
The advantage for me is that I use it, couldn't say that about the CPAP.

I've been on that machine for about 10 plus years. It took me a good 6 months to get used to wearing it every night, but it does make a world of difference to my sleep.
https://www.cpap.com/ is a really good site if you need to buy supplies or masks down the road. They have a really easy exchange system if the mask you get doesn't fit or you don't like it. I wear this one now after trial and error.
