Tip Of The Day

Post by mattcantwin » Mon Feb 05, 2018 6:58 am

I can't believe how long I have been struggling to connect/disconnect hoses and tools to my compressor.

Not sure where I came across this suggestion (maybe Facebook), but it is much easier to dial down pressure before attaching and removing anything to and from an air compressor.

Works great, no longer have things popping free or being forced on.

Maybe everyone already knows this, but worth posting for the heck of it.

Um. Makes sense.
My trouble is getting the new hoses connected under the sink.

I normally look of the valve and fire the tool to clear the pressure from the line.

If you think those are hard you should try connecting dry break hydraulic fittings that are under pressure.

I've got one. My trouble was getting the gasket to compress enough for the threads to mate up. Image
