Coffee I guess is luxury

Post by River Rat » Sat Feb 03, 2018 7:56 am

I saw this on CBS Saturday morning show about some US Military Veterans starting a coffee company and they only hire veterans to work for them. So by buying coffee you support a vet the way I see it. So I bought a pound to try out. Will report back how good it is. I think forum members should also give there coffee a shot. It's a way of helping vets. It puts them to work after the service. Several people here drink their coffee. It seems like a good company to support.

I’ve been buying Black Rifle Coffee for a while now...mugs, t-shirt’s, stickers.

They have been around for a while. There is some controversy going on because of some comments regarding starbucks. But I like their coffee, we have a ton of local companies though that we rather support.

They did an Ask Me Anything on reddit and went horribly to say the least. https://np.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/7 ... ontractor/

I'm guessing he wasn't planning on the AMA going down like that.
Another GWOT vet here. What I've grown tired of seeing and hearing over the past few years are a lot of former GWOT vets using their vet status and SPEC OPS designations as a means to drive revenue. We were once called "the quiet professionals". Not anymore. Now it seems every special operations MOS needs to make it known what they did so they can either profit from it or benefit in some way from it. From a GWOT vet to another GWOT vet aka CEO of BRCC...WE SIGNED UP TO DO THIS BECAUSE WE WANTED TO. No one owes us anything. We don't need people to thank us. We don't need to be acknowledged in any way.

Why would hiring vets be a "new mission" instead or your ONLY mission? What was our motto while we served?

Mission first...men always.

Sounds more like you are using vet status and MOS designation for nothing more than selling coffee and that my brother casts a black shadow across all service members' service.

The Keurig pods are ridiculously expensive. I get very high quality pods from Intelligent Blends (great coffee, terrible CS) for 1/3 the price.

I’ve been meaning to try it. Thinking I’ll get some K-cups and a bag for cold brew.

I listened to one of their podcasts once, but only because they were interviewing Grahamalicious.

I’m glad they don’t have a local cafe here, because I’d likely support it—and whenever the barista brought a mocha to my table I’d never know if I should thank him for his service twice.

Don't see it as a luxury. For me I drink it black, and could care less what brand it is. Main two reasons I even drink it is to wake up and......

I get frequent shipments from Black Rifle and have been enjoying Evan’s coffee Image️ since about ‘07.

He’s a fantastic guy and is building a fantastic company.

Michael, you may be pleased to know, or not, that we did another podcast with them last week at SHOT.

Yeah I noticed that after posting. I usually get them for 30 cents a cup locally in bulk boxes.

They have a cool brand. If I were their marketing guy, I'd get them to sell their own brewed beer. They would make a killing. (pun intended)

I'd call it Beer Goggles, Sniper Edition. Low, Long and strong. If you're reading BRCC, you can have that for free.

Did they slip anything into your coffee that night? Looks like a wild bear convention.

If I were them I would love the operation to Nepal. I heard that’s a great business move
