It’s got its own set of rules.fastward wrote:That was awesome.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 4:15 pmI use to love their black/white catalog with hand drawn pics.fastward wrote: ↑Sat Feb 10, 2018 4:00 pmThey do and offer decent discounts throughout the year. The majority of their business had been catalog business and is now web based.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 7:18 pmBack in the day Campmore was my go too. I don't know if they still have great prices though.
I actually live between their store and their warehouse, both are about 5 minutes away.
I’ve had numerous friends work there over the years.
Unfortunately, they have all moved on to new jobs, so no more employee discount.
Fun fact, their warehouse is around the corner from Coserv.

Re: Down jacket ideas
I purchased a down jacket and was wondering how people wash them? Another purchase I made, due to the recommendation on this thread, was a Patagonia Nano Puff. So far it is awesome!

How to wash a down jacket:
Machine-wash your down jacket on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees °C.
Carefully remove your down jacket and lay flat to dry on a clothing rack.
Put it in the tumble drier on a low heat.
Throw in two to three tennis balls, or Granger's drying balls.
Gently fluff up the down jacket.

You don’t need a special jacket, just take any existing outerwear and put some of these between the garment and your body.

I just bought a second nano puff after wearing mine daily for five years.
I just wash my down jackets on light soil in a front load washer, with whatever natural soap my wife buys, then spin them dry real quick and hang dry the rest of the way.
You only need to be careful if you have treated hydrophobic down.

Thanks! Is a special detergent required? I was always under the assumption that you had to care for down products differently so it looks like, luckily, I was wrong!toxicavenger wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 9:51 amHow to wash a down jacket:

Thanks! The Nano Puff is great and I am trying to find a Hyper Puff but it looks like Patagonia stopped making them.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 6:33 pmI just bought a second nano puff after wearing mine daily for five years.

My wife just picked me up a KUHL Spyfire. It is the best fitting down jacket I have ever worn. Honesty speak, the price kept me from buying it. But since she bought it I am good with it. Funny I bought her the same jacket last year.
