Electric Razors?

So, my old razor went TU.
What is a solid, user-friendly electric that is not a piece of junk?

I like this one and have used it for years.
I like that I can use it wet with a shaving lotion , or more commonly, shave dry on the way into work.
It is comfortable, hugs the curves well and have never gotten a razor burn.

I'm on my third or fourth Braun Series 7. Better foil design than Norelco, et al. if you have heavier beard.

I have an older version of a Panasonic Arc-5 that I've had good luck with.

I have a Braun as well. Probably an older version of the one above. It works OK, but I still think about going back to a blade.

i used an electric for the first 20 years of shaving. I always assumed it was faster and easier than blade shaving. That was until i started using a blade, as i actually find it much faster using a blade versus going over the same area over and over with the electric. They are nice to have though if your on the go, traveling or just want a quick shave without needing water etc. I used to have a braun which as i recall did a better job than the others i had tried.

I started on a razor but went off it by 20. I'm wondering if my skin can handle it better now that I'm old and don't require a super close shave.

I have a goatee, have for years. I always found electric razors to be a pain with it, so I go with a regular blade. I have a pretty coarse beard as well, and since I don't shave everyday..I go 3-4, I trim it down with a beard trimmer without the guard first, then shave with the razor and I get a super close comfortable shave.

Old thread but I just picked up a Braun 7 series and am amazed at the closeness and speed of the shave. Very convenient for travel and shaving on the go.

If anyone is still looking, I use this:
It's water proof so it's fantastic, trim your beard in the shower and bam. The blade adaptor broke after a year, I called gillette, they sent me a voucher for a new one... who does that today?
Uses 1 AA battery, perfect for traveling as well.

Have one of these and have used it for years! It’s really a great system...worked well but I needed something that I could travel easier with and use anywhere anytime.
