Can't for the life of me get I can't get these bastards back on my Sawtooth. I remember they were tough to install the first time. Had to remove the bracelet for a battery change. MF I'm stumped why I can't get the second end to seat. I've tried two different bars no luck. Unfortunately screw drivers won't help me.

Seems to me you're trying to fit it at an angle. Try laying the end link flat against the back of the lugs and compress the spring bars to fit it that way

I have had this problem on a few watches if the spring doesn't fit tightly into the endlink. It there is some wiggle room the spring bar will move where ever it wants to. To fix this issue I use a safety pin and apply side ways pressure to the spring to push it towards the lug hole until it engages.

Same here except I use a wood toothpick to protect against scratches. The plastic pick found in some Swiss Army knives works well too.

You might also try to gently move the end link a bit too. Sometimes if one side of the spring bar has engaged but the other side hasn't, moving the lug a little can rattle it into place.

Yep had a bit of a challenge with my Sinn bracelet when putting it back on today. Swapped out the shoulderless bars it came with and put some more solid shouldered bars and used the horofix tool above. Then had to wiggle the bracelet a bit to get the one side of the spring bar to seat and then make sure to push the bars a bit to seat it on the lug hole properly (as Terry described).

Patirence is defitiely needed for some bracelets, but that tool is a godsend! Must have.

I got a watch recently with the stock Seiko Fat Bars, I was so annoyed trying to get them out I almost threw the watch across the room. So I replaced them with some Toxic Fatties.

I can get both ends of the spring bar into the lug area and had one end set but no luck on the other end. I probably tried for an hour no exaggeration. I checked end link alignment using the drilled lug holes and know where it needs to be, but regardless of wiggling the end link and pushing spring bars it would not set.
I remembered this morning that last time I used standard spring bars even though this one is drilled for Seiko fat ends. Might try that and will definitely try toothpicks.
It also doesn't help that I can no longer focus 100% on the spring bar end and lug hole. Details that small are a little blurry for me.

I use a magnifier when doing this. And if anything use thinner spring bar that will have some play in it so you can move it around.

Believe it or not, keeping the watch warm and putting the bracelet in the freezer for 10 minutes or so has made a difference for me.

If that doesn't work, there is always the awl and hammer, but beer is a must if you go that route (with a shot of tequila as chaser)

The Aegir CD-2 is the same way. I just leave it on the Isofrane now.

Generally watches with short lugs are a bitch. I even had a shit time getting the bracelet on the U1
