Pays to save power cables from old equipment

Post by DON » Sat Feb 04, 2017 7:15 am

Kept a couple from old printers. Bought a new Canon which didn't include the cord and old was a match.

Yesterday. Kettle cord went. Had a spare printer cord downstairs which was exactly the same design as the kettles.

I'm now out, so hoping nothing else goes

I always keep them. Most TVs and Blu-ray players use similar cords.

Glad I'm not the only one that hordes power cables (and data cables). :shifty:

I horde cords also. If I don't have one then I order them from monoprice.

As long as the printer cord has as much insulation and wire weight as your kettle cord. Undersized wire will get really hot.
