Re: Danner...
Danner is legit, in my experience. Will probably buy a new pair today. Mountain light is what I plan to grab

I love Danner's I just don't have much of a use for them anymore.
I think B-rad is a hardcore Danner's guy.
They are one of the best out there.

Nope, not me brocephus. I like some of their styles though. I've been on a Red Wing kick for 2+ years now.toxicavenger wrote:I love Danner's I just don't have much of a use for them anymore.

Re: Danner...
I used Danner Acadia as patrol boots for about 10 years. I never found anything better. Fabulous comfort fit and quality to wear for a 12 hour day. They are now my motorcycle boots.
cheers,
Keith

Re: Danner...
I was issued a couple of pairs of Acadias at work, wore them for about 10 years as a uniform boot. Great work boots for what they are.

I could never wear Danner's, they felt like walking on bricks. I've always used Meindl's and they are SO comfortable.

Re: Danner...
I had some jump boots quite a few years ago from Danner. Since, I've owned a couple of pairs of the Danner Lights (hiking/casual) boots. All were great quality.

Kampfstiefel
Mind you, I haven't really worn them for 8 years, or so....We wear Alpinestars on the motors, in the winter.

I'm sure it would have been nothing but praise if it was, right guys ?!? LOL

Re: Danner...
I've never worn Danner, but I have friends who swear by them.
Re: Danner...
Been in Danners for about 25 years, both for work and for hiking. Outstanding boots, very comfortable and durable. Highly recommend them. There is a new pair of Mountain Light up in my room that showed up while I was away this last while. Stellar boots, stellar company.

Thanks James---they'll probably be my next boots--
Re: Danner...
They are the only boot I wear for work. I have a half dozen or so pair. They are solid.
Re: Danner...
I was issued a pair of cold-weather Danners when I was on Active Duty. Amazing winter boots that aren't too bulky. Most Danners can be re-soled too.
Re: Danner...
Think I'm finally going to bite the bullet on some Mountain Lights for hiking and the occasional snow we get here.
Re: Danner...
Bought them. Mountain Light IIs. Can't wait.

Nice! I love danner, great boots after they break in. I have the Bull Run work boot for winter wear. They're uninsulated but plenty worn compared to vans and water proof.
Re: Danner...
Danners all the way. I can get about 3 re-soles per pair in 10 years. They have other styles of soles if the originals are too heavy. I work inside now most times, so I put on a very light set and love them.
