Built a fire pit!

Post by Erratic101 » Wed Jul 06, 2016 10:40 pm

Had a small tree that was dead. Cut it out and decided to build a fire pit. Didn't take too long. Everything was easy to dig up. Laying the bricks was pretty easy. Used a large flat stone as the base. Also used some cement glue on the bricks. Looks good.

Unfortunately for me, Fire-pits are illegal in Denver. Can't have any open burns.
You can have a gas fired one, but wood burning is out...

I think so here in the Springs also, but Justyn is up north so he might be in the clear.

Looks good Justyn, now don't get to crazy with it.

Nice work! I've been thinking about doing something like that as well.

We can have built fire pits 25' from structure and portable 15' from structure. We use our portable around 10' from our covered patio and have a hose nearby so no issues.

Thanks guys! Yes that is a propane torch! Easy fire starter :) So, now I just checked regulations, and yes I'm allowed to have an open burn. Guess I should've looked before hand, but I was like screw it; I want a pit!

It's illegal here but hasn't slowed down the sales of pre-built fire pits from Home Depot...
