Saw it on Uncrate.

I've got a thing for old Porsches like this guy.

But this is all I can realistically afford and risk on track days. A 987.2 S.

Nothing wrong with a 987.2

This one is local to me. I see it on the road frequently.

If I had to choose between a 356 coupe or roadster, I'd pick the coupe.

Who doesn't love a vintage Porsche?
Nothing wrong with a newer one, though. Same fun with less money.

So cool. A frame up restored 1600 Super will bring big $$$.

My last one was a '63 B cabriolet. Nothing like a 356.

Love vintage Porsche, although like watches, I prefer new. I had an early 97 Boxster in Arena Red and wish I still had it.

Arena red is a cool color. I almost bought a 993 in Arena red but ended up with polar silver instead.

I loved it, although the 993 looks even better of course.. If I bought a Porsche today, it'd be a Cayman, because I prefer a coupe.

I think you'd love the Cayman. Tough to beat the handling of a mid-engine.

I ended up selling my Boxster because I was getting ice in the engine compartment. Don't ask me why, but I bought a house without a garage (even though a garage was on my must have list) and even under a heavy duty car cover moisture got in and froze. :banghead: Traded it in on a X3 grocery getter/people mover. :crybaby: Oh well.

I can sympathize somewhat with your garage situation. I don't have to worry about ice here in the Bay Area but we have a single car garage and I hated parking my '87 Carrera outside. I covered it to reduce UV damage and keep the birds from treating it like their own personal toilet, but I could only use the cover when the car was totally clean.

After we renovated our house a few years ago I promised myself I'd put a lift into the garage to double my parking space. Of course other priorities got in the way but the lift is finally going in next week. Can't wait!

On the plus side you won't have to worry about leaving it with the valet.

I should have bought a Porsche before we had a kid (and started spending $ on watches). Now it's not going to happen for 15-20 years if ever.
