Headphone recommendations (with an awesome microphone)?

Creating a new thread for this due to a slightly different request than most headphone recommendation asks.

I generally have headphones on for 8+ hours a day due to always being on the phone - more on travel days. I would love some high quality wireless headphones, but my absolute #1 requirement is that the microphone is awesome. By awesome, I mean it performs well outdoors (mutes wind a bit) and doesn't pick up too much ambient noise. Right now, based on anecdotal evidence in the form of feedback from people I talk to, the iPhone headset is pretty stellar in the mic department (surprise surprise).

Anything out there that has as good or better microphone but is a higher quality sound and/or wireless and/or more comfortable?

I use these for the gym. Think the battery life is 6 hours though. Can't vouch if the microphone performs well. The sound is excellent with a snug fit. Excellent noise cancelling. Takes some adjusting but worth the effort.

Actually think they have a new model out now with two types of ear pieces to choose from.

I have the Bluebuds X above for the same purpose but could never get a good fit (and never went to the gym), so its just collecting dust. I think the mic on Bose earphones is pretty decent and I love the fit and the clip, I use it for long phone calls/interviews (but then, I don't have too much to compare it to). Why not try the in-ear noise canceling QC20i - would be better than the iphone ones I guess :~

Although I've not tried them yet, I bet those Bose noise cancelling in-ear QC20i's would be the way to go. All my other Bose stuff has always been stellar.

I also don't mind over/on ear, as I have no hair to mess up. In-ear gets uncomfortable after long periods of time.

the shure in ear headphones were great and the mic was as good, ime, as the apple oem buds mic.
not a bargain, but they have a pretty wide range to choose from.
i got mine from music direct when they were still a short walk from me in chicago.
left mine on a plane and need to replace them. thanks for the reminder.

Plantronics usually makes the best no nonsense no cutesy wootsy (candy skull poopoo bird) business headsets with microphones.
Their noise cancelling is incredible and batteries usually last a long time.
