That's excellent. Not cheap, but I like the concept.

I dig it. If I had lotto cash I'd do a few of these scattered about the country as epic road trip pit-stop locations.

It would make a cool guest space if you had the property for it.

Me too mate.. Why would you pay so much for a tiny house when you can pay less for a big house with more space?

Less impact on the environment. Tread lightly.

Guest house, weekend cottage, writer's cabin, hunting/fishing shack. Imagine it on a salmon river in Scotland.

I think it's totally sweet. I would love a tiny home as a vacation place.

Minimal maintenance, all-in-one design, turn key, unique. I wouldn't want to live that way daily, but I think it's cool as a second or third place.

So what I've read here is that it's cool...as long as you only have to live there for short periods of time.

They call that an RV. It's got wheels.

My thoughts exactly. Besides if I had another $500K for a 2nd home it would be a 3 bedroom condo on a beach.

€485K

I'd buy a Ferrari and a tent.
And a house. And a hooker.

Seriously though, great concept and idea, but I'm sure you could do something similar for 1/10th the price.

K and I used one of the early adopter companies (http://www.modern-shed.com/) as an inspiration for my studio: I think we're into it for something just over 17K or so, plus plumbing for electric, by going the DIY route.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought a shipping container, a couple trips to Ikea, and a crapload of gray primer.

Not sure if they are available in the US, but Huf Haus is probably the best at this. It's a German company and they can build pre-fab houses in days. Build quality is meant to be impeccable.

The start at £500k

Michael,
That's a gorgeous studio.

But I don't want to live in it.

I would love to own something like that one day on a nice chunk of land and become a hermit or something.

Yeah, it's a great place to spend a couple of hours at a time rehearsing in.

If you are interested in this market....follow @prefabnsmallhomes on IG.

They post hundreds of actual houses in this market. I'm currently trying to design our last house build now. This feed has some amazing, stunning, creative, bullshit designs.

We are using it for design concepts....
