I'm not sure I'd call goatskin shite but kangaroo should be thinner so maybe not as warm?

More to do with protection. Motorcycling gloves made from goat skin dont hold up nearly as well as kangaroo and roo is thinner and more comfortable. :-)

Kangeroo leather is supposed to be the most durable of leathers, no?

Sorry Danny. Not my style. I'd prefer smooth leather.

It's never cold enough here to need lining. I just need a tight fitting shell of a glove. I guess that's a hand condom.

I got these from Nordstrom. About $40, leather with a fabric lining. They won't be super warm, but should be good down to the 20s or 30s.

Costco has some nice isotoners which are also mobile device friendly. I paid I think it was $17 bucks for them. Thinsulate lined also.

Love it that the thread is still going. I ended up heading down the deerskin path with a pair of gloves by Geier; made in WA, black to look less like a hick; work like a charm

Now that you've had them a month or so do you have a review?

^^^Yes, they're killer. I've worn them everyday (it's been cold hereabouts) and they've both worn like iron, and allowed for a modicum of dexterity, due to fit and thinness. They're unlined deer hide, so I grab another pair for things like shoveling snow, but in all, I love 'em. Two gloved thumbs up.

It's going to be tough late in this season, but if you can find some Ibex Side Mountain gloves, they're awesome. They have goat leather lined palm and Merino free range wool insulation. I've had my pair for about 3 NE winters and they still look and perform like new. FYI - Ibex is an under appreciated brand, but in general all their shit is awesome.

Really tempted by Geier but picked up a pair of these Nordstrom gloves. Will see. Can always return them and buy the Geier.
