Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
Not the sandals, but some new shoes.
(Memphis)
They aren't much to look at but they should last a good long while. The soles on these are definitely different. Been wearing these for a couple of weeks now and I'm still getting used to the feel. Overall I'm digging them though.
The toe boxes on these are pretty unique. They are very similar to the custom shoes that were made by a little factory in Winston-Salem by my cousin's family until they sold off the business sometime in the 90's. I remember my dad had some. They would take a cast of your feet and custom make the shoes to fit.

Re: Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
I thought Birkenstocks were standard issue for vegetarians?
Re: Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
I heard they're issuing them in the Army now. Conscientious objector? Check. Trans gender needs? Check. Vegan? Check.

Re: Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
Should have picked up the ones with velcro instead of laces.
Re: Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
I wore the hell out of 'em in high school. Still have two pairs! So comfortable but I'd look like a stoner wearing 'em now.

Am I a vegetarian? yes. Am I vegan? No. Am I a stoner? I will be the second recreational use of weed is legal in NC (in other words, after all the other states legalize it first.)

Love Birks! Never owned the shoe but many sandals and still wear them to this day. Maybe growing up in Humboldt County has something to do with my attraction
Re: Got my First Pair of Birkenstocks
I should probably try these - I always get sore feet
