moishlashen wrote:Daily wear are Darn Tough Micro Crews. Cold climate but they work in the summer too as they breathe well. Lifetime guarantee but I've never seen a holy pair in 5 years. Just picked up some lighter weight Darn Tough-dress socks I guess-and they're very nice. Probably be my summer daily wear.
Darn Tough is a VT company and all their socks are made in USA (I think) and have lifetime guarantees. They make a million types as well. A little pricey but I've been getting them at shoebuy for good prices with their discounts. I've tried most of the other brands-Smartwool (blow chimp), Bridgedale (2nd favorite), Thorlo (decent) and others I can't think of right now.
Micro Crews:

Light Dress Crews:

Gonna give these a go.
I agree that smartwool blows. Emily buys them often and they don't seem to hold up too well.

Darn Tough Micro Crew is all I wear now. They are great and seem to resist getting stinky.

I'm all Darn Tough all the time. I bet I have 100 pair-and I don't care!

Darn Tough socks are still damn great. I'm too cheap to buy more though. I wear the pair from Chris only on special occasions.

Next Week's "You might be a WUS member if" thread is:
Endust vs Pledge. So am I "waxing the furniture" or "polishing"? I really need to win this one or my wife will continue to withhold sex. THX!

I have 6 or 7 pairs. I think I may buy a few more but I know they won't get worn as much once I move to Florida.

Penny loafer socks is really a misnomer. You can also wear them with tasseled loafers and venetian loafers. They're pretty much appropriate for any member of the loafer family.

With boots? All Smartwool socks. Love em. Also have 2 pairs of Ultimax socks that have lasted over 10 years. Not kidding. Amazing socks but not sure if they are sold anymore.
With running shoes? Smartwool, Nike Dri Fit, Thorlo, and Wrightsock dual layer socks.
Dress shoes- I lack variety here. Bunch of Nordstrom solid color socks. They kind of suck.

Good to know. I have been purchasing different loafer socks all of this time.

The loafer sock industry lacks scruples. Don't trust them.
