A New Project
A New Project
I know we have a lot of Knife fans here so I thought I would post this up. A recent project I started while waiting for straps to cure. A friction sheath for my ZT0550 folder. This was made by wet forming premium Veg Tan 6 oz hide. The back was doubled up to 12oz. Dyed cordovan with cream saddle stitch and reinforced Chicago studs. This one mounts horizontally on your belt.

BAD ASS.. you could have full time employment down on the Navy piers. All those kids wear knives on homemade leather sheaths

Re: A New Project
Looks good. Is it a belt slide? If so what size?

Thanks guys, yes it's a horizontal mount for a 1 1/2" belt. More to come as my Hinderer arrives.

Re: A New Project
Nice looking stuff!!!
Re: A New Project
Very nice! How do you like the 550? I have the 0777 on order.
Re: A New Project
0550 is great and very chunky. The 0560 is more shaped and very nice in hand.
The Hinderer just arrived earlier today.

Hinderer makes great stuff. Good to see he's marking his blades now.
That's a great knife. He's got a video somewhere out there of a guy pounding that knife through an ammo can with zero problems to the blade and the pivot still as smooth as glass.
Good pick up.
Here's a pic from a class I did ('07 I think?) at Rick's house for him and his wife and the guys in his shop. I'd just finished about a 10,000rd initial environmental endurance test of Nighthawk Custom's GRP Recon.
