Those of you who avoided Chromebook because you found the selection of apps too limiting, there may be an answer. Many newer Chromebook/Chromebox units (OS 53 and above) can install Google Play Store to use Android apps. You just need to make a few changes in your setup to do it. I've made the change on my Chromebook and it works.

I've liked the ease of operation that Chromebooks offer and the addition of Google Play Store makes it more attractive.

Got my daughter a chrome book to carry for school and homework instead of a laptop. Ill have to see if it works on her model.
Then again, giving her access to google play store and apps may make it less likely for her to complete her homework..
