You're not entering it right. PM me your number and I'll explain.
I believe I did. Put the 7 into the cart, clicked trade in (which estimated at $90 for 5S), went through those steps and it came out to $90.

At the final screen? The promotion is $650 for all 6, 6s models and $400 for all 5, 5s, and SE models.

^ that is the normal screen. It's a different location on the website and you need to have the iPhone 7 in your cart, as the $400 is only applicable when getting that new model.

As I've said, I'll gladly walk you through it online or you could call Verizon or go into a Verizon corporate store (not a third party Verizon provider).

Well the lady on the other end of the keyboard promised me that after checkout I can add the second device.
I tried... And it said $90.

So she gave me customer support phone number. I hope they figure it out tomorrow.
So as of now I have two 7's coming my way- but I need to figure out the second trade in and port my old numbers when they get here.

I get a good discount with both carriers- 22% from working at my hospital:

So after a 4gb plan with iPhone 7's, 2 (I hope 2) trade-ins worth $400 each and my discount I'll be paying the same price a month that I pay now- about $90 a month.

Thanks Hop!

I am thinking of doing this for my wife's phone (Currently a 6 on T-Mobile) and possibly get a phone for Gio and trade in an old 5 for his.

How will the trade in work? DO they send out the phone and once it ports I can send it in for the credit to start?

Any idea what they will deduct for a cracked screen? the 6 has a cracked screen, the 5 does not.

Barry

I believe it says you have 14 days to get your current device to them once you receive the new phone.

I don't know about the cracked screen, but when you are doing the trade in evaluation after adding the 7 to your cart and picking the trade in option it asks you a few questions about condition of the phone. So based on a cracked screen you will have to select that option and it will tell you final trade in price based on that.

Is your iPhone 5 a Verizon version? I don't think it matters, but I'm curious.

I've described it as best I can. I can walk you thru it while you're in your account online, otherwise I'd suggest calling Verizon @ 800-922-0204

If the iPhone 5 isn't damaged its worth $400 (about $16 per month bill credit for 24 months). I did one for an iPhone 5 too.

For everyone who did this; I noticed in the trade in fine print that your iPhone 7 must be active on the plan for 24 months. Not a deal breaker but an FYI for anyone doing it.

Shout out to Hoppy for posting the deal.

I was up till 415am syncing and backing up iPhones. I was convinced I wasn't going to sleep till it was done. Last step- porting the existing numbers. And alas... error message.

A quick phone call after I google searched the Verizon port specialists and it was done.
Also; the other issue about only taking in one trade in for the special price was fixed when I actually had an account and simply did it myself, so it worked. Also did my employee discount online. All pretty simple.
First pic taken by my new phone-

No idea. It is "limited time" but they didn't say how limited.

Correct. The 6 or 6s models get $650, the 5, 5s, and SE models get $400. It comes as a credit against your device payment in the new phone, for 24 months. For example;

New iPhone 7 128gb is $31/mo and $400 credit for iPhone 5 trade is $16/mo = cost of new phone $15/mo for 24 months. You are not locked to the carrier in that you can pay off device and leave anytime, however; leaving before 24 months cancels any remaining credit payments.

All I got from the fine print is that $400 will be credited in 1-2 billing cycle. I was thinking along the lines of:

Example:

I pay $250 per month.

When the credit kicks in, they will subtract $400 from $250.

For that month I will owe no payment.

The following billing cycle they would subtract $150(remaining credit) from $250, which leaves me to pay the remaining $100 for that month.

The billing cycle after that will mean that I now will pay $250
+ $31 per month for the remaining 24 month contract.
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.
