need a new web host
pretty much fed up with dreamhost. i've been there a long time, but the email issues they've had the past year or so have finally pushed me over the edge. it's been two days since i've been able to reliably receive email and the couple of times i've tried to send, it's failed. and this is maybe the 3rd or 4th time this year already.
so, suggestions? i have a couple of domains hosted and a few email accounts. no real heavy lifting. i just need my email to be consistently reliable and not outrageously expensive.

Hard to believe I'm suggesting this, but for your purposes something like GoDaddy may fit the bill.

I use hostbaby, FWIW. A couple of sites and 5 emails. Been rock solid for 15 years.

Not sure if it's right for your needs, but I went with Google Domians as an alternative to Go Daddy

I was already grandfathered with the Google Apps for Business account, so it all works together for very little cost.

I've run everything through godaddy for about 12 years or so. Never had an issue.

Use Google Business apps to run your email totally separate from your website. It always works and easy to use. For host, if you're looking for something cheap look at Mediatemple, hostgator ( I think) or just stay at godaddy. Most low budget host plans throw in email as a "service" but it always sucks. Google charges $5 per mo. per email address. Pretty cheap for reliable as hell email.

I found recently google does not let you send out an email to more than 500 customers, this was with my google business email.
