Apple recall ...

Post by JDC222 » Mon Apr 04, 2016 6:22 pm

My fairly new 6 Plus packed it in, with the common issues of screen freeze and flickering at the top and bottom. I guess it has become a quality control issue worldwide, so I was told today at the Apple Store. I had to pay $429 for a new phone but was told that I would receive a reimbursement cheque from Apple, sometime in the next few weeks. What a hassle!!

Anyone else having similar issues with the 6 or 6 Plus?

No issues with my 6, but now that I've said I've probably jinxed myself. So thanks for that. And what's a cheque? "Chek-uh"? "Chek-wah"?!"chek-you"? Weird.

iPhone 6s and no issues. I plan on getting 7 plus in fall, so hope they have the issue fixed by then. Fortunately I'm on a yearly lease plan anyways.

One of the most recent updates should have fixed the issue/s.

I had that issue, I brought it to the Apple Store and they replaced the phone for me right then and there. Said its a common issue. I'm surprised they are charging you! That's horse shit.

Yeah, Apple is usually pretty good about customer service. They replaced my wife's broken phone once a year out of warranty, no questions asked. Just grabbed a new one and handed it to her.

It didn't.

My 1 year Apple warranty has expired. I also learned that Apple Care does not transfer phone to phone, as I was told it does.

Apple is implementing a "Quality program" to refund/replace faulty 6 Plus phones. If I waited a week or two, I could simply swap out my phone...I didn't want to wait, so Apple will send me a refund cheque at that time.

Che's GMT is owned by a now retired legendary Agency Officer. The story goes he was interrogating Che just before he was 'accidently' killed in custody. He asked the custodian military unit if he could look at Che's watch and check it for micro film. He went into another room and switched bands with his own GMT and handed back his own and walked out with Che's on his wrist. He still wears that watch today.

Well he was a doctor and saved some Lepers and other less fortunate beings. All in the balance... so maybe his earlier days were more inspiring than his latter but you gotta admire his belief and resolve..... not just to murder people..
