is it me or has the power pack/battery thing gotten crazy? there are 10 bazillion varieties of them out there. maybe i'm just some old guy who doesn't push my phone too hard, but i do use it pretty regularly and i rarely ever need an extra battery. of course, it charges during my morning/evening commutes because it's plugged in and running my entertainment/navigation, so maybe that's part of it.
