Excel help

Post by Terpits » Mon Apr 27, 2015 10:27 am

I remember seeing an Excel sheet that was sent to me which had a table with an asterisk at the bottom which automatically created rows with the same formatting and stuff as the row above.
Anyone know how to do that? If possible, a sum/average function at the bottom that will include the new rows.

I have Excel 2010, not sure if that matters.

And please, explain it like I am 10 years old.

Thanks in advance.

Im not sure if this will do what you're talking about but try to select the cells you want to duplicated (they should be highlighted in blue), then mouse over the lower right corner of the box and your curser should look like this: +. Then drag down as many cells as you want to duplicate.

I'm not an excel guru, but it sounds like you are after a macro that does this.
