Verizon vs Sprint package prices

I guess I should post this under Hot Deals-

So my wife has been wanting to reduce our monthly bills. You can see the cable thread I started, saved a bit but not like a wanted. So I thought to myself, I bet I can save some on the wireless bill if I look at it.

I tried to reduce our data plan and it was only $10 less. Plus I like having 3gb, going down to 2gb is pushing it. So I looked at AT&T.

We found a plan that was exactly what we already have except now (starting at the end of January) we will have roll over data.
I get a hefty discount from my hospital, 22% at Verizon and 25% at AT&T.
Unlimited talk, text with both. 3gb data at both..... We paid $135/month for Verizon and now at AT&T it is $80!

We are keeping our phones, we both have iPhone 5's, so if we want a new phone down the line I will have to buy an unlocked refurb off eBay or something.

The coverage in my area is comparable for both so this is a huge savings.
Just thought id share.
I'm still in disbelief that it's the same package for $50 less a month..... This makes the wife happy.

I know. I worried about this but I'll find out the next few days at work. In my small town the service is the same but I'll see what it's like in the city.

I have no idea what this has to do with sprint as this thread is Verizon vs. ATT, but nonetheless good deal.

I stick with sprint because I get unlimited everything (including data) for $85 plus taxes a month

Y'all will laugh, but I went to Boost mobile. With my wife and I it is $104 with unlimited talk text and 5gb data per line.

I had unlimited everything with Sprint for $57 but left after 12 years as their service was abysmal here in Miami.

Paying $65 now with AT&T splitting a family plan with 30GB of data. Couldn't be happier with the change.

Good on you Ben

Sprint is cheap. But you get what you pay for.
Worst signal and coverage.

A few years back, Best Buy sold prepaid sim cards that utilized the AT&T network.

Another option for you.

I have ATT and pay $230 for 5 phones, unlimited everything, 30gb shared data (no with rollover) taxes and fess included. Is the $65 your share of your family plan? I assume that is the case but wanted to make sure I am not missing out on a deal that is now available. I'm in South Florida as well and with the exception of my neighborhood, ATT service has been good. I have a microcell in the house to get me 5 bars.
