Yosemite?

Post by ericf4 » Thu Oct 23, 2014 6:59 am

Anyone here upgrade to Yosemite yet? I did the other day and seems pretty solid....I do like the look of it better from a design perspective than before. I am not really sure what all has changed.....seems spotlight is now more universal but doesn't seem to do a good job of searching stuff from the web etc, not impressed yet.

Anyone know what the big changes are supposed to be?

I'm with you, Eric. I downloaded and don't see much change, at least not for what I use it for which is basically surfing watch sites and dorking around with photobucket.

Battery life is supposed to have improved in 10.10. Also iphones are more closely integrated. You can take calls on your mac now. I forget the other big changes

I've been waiting for the first update before upgrading. Zack likes it though.

More integrated with iOS - can start an email on your phone and finish on your desktop, ditto with browsing, text, etc.

Upgraded our iMac a few days ago and it's been pretty stable.

Yup, love it. So far, found 2 defects (I haven't been afflicted by the wifi issues yet), which is very minimal given how much low-level shit I run (web service invocation, etc.) and how particular I am about my legacy apps.
