iPhone OS 8 issue

Post by Nomadz » Sat Sep 27, 2014 1:04 pm

Updated the OS on my 5c and ever since it will freeze for seconds at a time and then dump particularly email or text messages. If I access contacts it sometimes freezes for up to a minute. Mostly seems to involve text tasks. Anyone else having issues with the update??

So far so good. I downloaded iOS 8.0 a couple days ago and 8.0.2 this morning.

Same here, Nick - little pauses here and there are very frustrating.

Also - photo folders are jacked up. read: not the same folders pre-"update"

Mine seems fine....so far.

I'm waiting a few weeks until they get it right.

That's how I do it as well. Wait for everyone to beta test the update and wait for the updated fix.

My 5 freezes. It's irritating as all hell, but I knew from the last few iOS changes that they were gonna be a pain in the ass. But they'll eventually get it all right.

The software updates happen semi-weekly when they need to. There's already been one since iOS 8 was released days ago. It's not buying a first year car. AppleCare will replace the device if necessary. I've had several replacements since my first 3G and 3G S.

It's actually on 8.02 already. Apple custom service is insane. They're ALWAYS going above and beyond. I've had bad luck with the 5, but their customer service is so good that I'd never look elsewhere.

Third party keyboards, which I were hoping were going to be life-changing, aren't working well for me. Other than that, I absolutely love iOS8 on my 6.

8.0.2 I agree with their CS. Top notch as long as you buy AppleCare. And that's not an insignificant cost compared to the phone.

My iphone 5 since i put on iOS 8.0.2 is having one major issue:

1. cannot update my apps, when I hit the update button it just looks like it's preparing to start but just sits there twirling. I have to terminate the app store and it wont do anything after that. Is there a fix for that?

EDIT***

just checked my phone and iOS 8.1 is avail.....downloading now
