Client of mine located in Cambridge MA. Their CEO is one of the top minds in robotics today and is also a professor at MIT. She has a bunch of TED talks if you search for her.

This is a really exciting time for them right now, and has been exciting for me as I have been there since inception and have really seen this thing grow. They are still a few months out from their series A raise.

These are available to the public if you want one :)

Saw an article about this the other day. Sounds like the initial one being released for $499 is a prototype that still has bugs, and it has an operating system that will support future apps and development. Could be a lot of fun eventually. Curious what all it can do if I buy one today...... That my iPhone cannot already do.

Interesting though.

This little bugger came up at a dinner party last night. Not one of us can figure out what is actually for.

Something to talk to for lonely people? Lazy parenting so you don't have to read your kid to sleep at night?

Don't get me wrong, it's very neat technology. It just doesn't do anything.

Social robotics???

Meh, typical MIT Media Lab stuff. Looks cool but questionable real world usefulness.
