My new Protrek / Pathfinder.... zulu strap is the way to go!

Post by GGD » Tue Mar 08, 2011 11:10 pm

Hey guys -

so I picked this one up on the WUS SC a few weeks back.... love everything about the watch and it's killer features.... but I just wasn't bonding with the rubber strap.... for some reason I just couldn't get it to fit right and it was bugging me :banghead:

I was thinking that I'd probably flip it and get something else, but decided to order some strap adaptors from tiktox.com which arrived the other day. I only got around to swapping out the strap this afternoon..... wow, what a difference!

I tried it on a 22mm black 3-ring zulu w' PVD hardware first off which was pretty cool, but the watch seemed to move around on the strap a bit too much.

Then I grabbed a 24mm grey 5-ring zulu w' PVD hardware and there you go..... fits great, watch head sits smack bang in the middle of my wrist and I think I'll give this one another go to see if it's a keeper or not

Just took a few pics as well.....

I should point out that I wear nearly all my watches on zulu straps so it's no surprise that this is a better fit (for me anyway)

Now if I can just get used to the negative display I'll be hunky-dory!

Cheers

Thanks Andy - changes the whole look of the watch. It never ceases to amaze me how the right (or wrong) strap can make such a difference.

You are the Zulu queen, and I think it looks kick ass on the strap! Keep trying it, you have to have at least one.

That is a sweet combo...great point about how a strap can truly change the look
of a watch...

Nice work..

It sure does. I never really cared for the Protek, until I saw that configuration
