Impulse buy

Post by Brimstone » Fri Feb 12, 2016 7:20 pm

So I bought a G-Shock last week on an impulse and then started looking at other models on the web and ended up ordering another one tonight. The weird thing is that I'm not a fan of G-Shocks with analog hands, but this one didn't bother me. I figured I needed a gadgety watch (Solar, multiband, ABC, etc). Anyway, the Mudmaster will be here Monday.

It's about the size of a Pathfinder. Like 56 or 59 mm.

Nice! Life would be boring without impulse buys.

Here is a size comparison with a JSAR:

It is definitely big, but due to the lightweight and "wings" on the strap, it wears very comfortably.

I've wanted one since they were discussed, pre-launch, but the damned straps on Casio watches are always too small for me.

When you push the compass button, it sends the second hand into compass mode and it was dead nuts on with my Suunto compass and my iPhone compass. The altimeter is dead on with the elevation of my house and the barometer is pretty much right on what the weather channel website says. It last updated to the atomic clock a month ago and it is off by 2 seconds. Full of gadgety goodness.

Lookin' good, Eric. Been wanting once since they were announced, but I can't make up my mind on the color.
