My first G-Shock
Just posted this up in the main forum.. but only appropriate that I shove it here also with it being G Specific.
Had never really even considered a purchase like this before.
However... I have just started a new career as an Ambulance Driver with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, was pottering around in my Speedmaster for a couple of weeks when I realised the lack of practicality it offers, cost wise.
I know that it had all those desert tests all those years ago by NASA, but at that sort of watch price, I just felt too nervous having her on my wrist.
Had a loiter round on the web for some G*Shock ideas, and found myself liking the hands versions which are out there.
I found myself having a liking to the GAC-100-1AER.
I picked this up at The Watch Hut, saw a link on here AFTER I had bought it (for £60) and it was already back up for £99.
http://www.thewatchhut.co.uk/Casio-G-Sh ... +1AER.html
It's about time I dropped at the right moment for a deal!
I thought she would feel bigger, but I can carry off a larger watch. It just has a 'Do Your Best' feel about it for strength and robustness, and is much lighter than I'd anticipated.
So I bought myself a G*SHOCK!! Long live watches, and the ways in which our biases can go out of the window when the situation arises. I was never an admirer, never got them (probably due to mental laziness on my part)... but it goes to show you, opinions and attitudes can change when we change our approach and buy for our needs.
This watch was made for this kind of thing.
Anyway, some disctinctly average iPhone pics! In random order!
I am feeling the love for G!
Cheers!!

Wow.

Congrats on the new career, and the purchase. Everyone should own at least one G-Shock.

When you really got to beat the crap out of a watch, nothing beats a GShock!

Wtf. Why is a 2 year old thread about an incoming getting bumped?

There was a spam, "gclub", terrorist type post that bumped the thread, earlier this morning.
