"G"

Anyways to cut through the chase! I was taking a few photos for a thread I’d post in few days regarding my thoughts on the GW-A1000-1AJF Sky Cockpit.

While messing around, I placed it (or I should say balanced it) on the surface of a metal table saw.

Image

When I tried to moved it, the M’thr F’r JUMPED out of my Freak’in hand, bounced on the table, then  launched it’s self (about 3 feet without a parachute) directly on the concrete floor!

The Sum’mum’a’beach bounced a few times, settled on the floor, looked up at me, then ask,.... That was Fun, can I Do It again? ... :rimshot:

I put it in a Vise instead! ... :tap:

I like how your G has it's own voice!

Seriously, when you compare that to the testing videos, it was probably saying "You pussy, is that all you got?"

I always liked these

Breakin' it in, huh? Good thing is was a G and not something with a ceramic bezel.

Got to love them G's. So how are you liking that - beyond the toughness, that is?

Bjorn, thanks for the link to the video! ...

The funny thing is, I was expecting a metallic sound (like you'd get from most watches), but no sound at all! Picked it up, look at it and nothing! ...

Well it wasn't how I was expecting to break it in! ... :shifty: ...

Truth, though I was a bit disappointed when I fist took it out of the box. 1) the red shroud around the temp sensor looked kind of cheap (color wise) and 2) it's metal keeper. So I figured before I gave my assessment on it, I thought I'd live with it for a week before telling y'all what I felt on this "G".

I still would like the shroud to be the grey color similar to the RAF Sky Cockpit, but it grew on me (as well as the keeper) and I really like this one, ...a lot!

Glad you liked the link Lance!

With both my G-shock and my Casio "tough solar" I honestly never worry about what I'm doing with them. After watching the videos a while back, I _truly_ don't care what happens. They'll be fine

Awesome. I used to like to take mine and just throw em across the room. Can't do that with an auto! Look forward to your review on this one, Lance. I've looked at a LOT of analog and ana/digi G's in the past but none really did it for me. I'd still like to find one.

This one's cool Brad! Casio's fusion of the G's digital world to an analog was executed very well with their Sky Cockpit! With three hands and two sub-dials (top: GMT 24 hour and Bottom: Shared with the Day and Time Zone/internal features) the Sky Cockpit's dial is clean without imo, crowding too many features on it! The three D effect hepls in keeping the dial clean as well! ... ... Although with the expense of hiding one or two features I would like to have immediate access to.

Lumes not Seiko nuclear bright, but it does well and holds it's own! ...

This one's got a slightly domed mineral crystal.

One other thing about the Cockpit. I have 7 1/2" wrist and I'm on the third to the last hole in the strap.

Third from fully tight, or third from the end of strap? I have an 8" wrist and was looking at these too, but I like some tail ;)

Love it Lance! G-Shock's rule... I love mine & know that the chances of me breaking one are very slim.

Really like that one of yours... Ana/Dig is the best of both worlds IMO

Gotta love Gs. One day I'll get around to getting another, but the one Terry gifted me a couple of years ago is indestructible.

Yeah I like some tail at teh end of the strap as well, an 8" wrist will be cutting it close imo. Unlike the Frog which they gave a lot of strap to go around a wet suit.
