Funny Luke....I just found recently some old Ultraman episodes on Youtube.

Ah, the memories
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams
The islands and bays are for sportsmen

It is funny how a few years makes a huge difference in what you watched as a kid. I am probably 5 years younger than you guys and have never seen that show or even heard of it until Luke posted that G Shock a few months ago.

I still can't believe that you're selling what is quite possibly the coolest G-Shock EVAR.

Even Ty agrees with me on this count. :snooty:

While it may seem like a straightforward 6900 collab to the unwashed, there's something about the shade of red used, that little bit of kanji script on the dial and the quality/texture of the case/strap (perhaps it's because this one is made in Japan, and not China or Thailand  ) that make the 45th Anniversary stand out. The custom EL, display stand and box are pretty cool, too...

And, of course, if you're a fan of the old Ultraman/Ultraseven series, then it's a no-brainer.

Whoever snags this from you is getting it for a song, too, since these are going for $400 on eBay.

I think you need to be in your 40s. I am 39 and I am pretty sure the show was before my time.

I'm 39 as well, however growing up, my best friend in my apartment building was a kid named Alan Mizuki, who was transplanted from Japan (his dad was big shot with Sony, or something like that), so not only did I get to play with all the toys, but thanks to a freaky thing called Betamax, I got to watch the shows. Sadly, these weren't subtitled or dubbed, so I had no idea what was going on, but so long as shit was blowing up, I was cool with it.
