This One's Pretty Fun!

Post by smalls » Mon Nov 28, 2011 6:35 pm

Bought this one a couple of months ago and I have to say that I'm really liking it. Love my Mudman but was wanting another G Shock hoping to curb the watch appetite and settled on the Riseman. This one is definately feature laden and I find myself checking the barometric pressure graph several times a day. I love telling my wife it's about to rain when the weather man's calling for sun (read, I'm a nerd). Anywho, way more comfortable imo than the mudman and the solar/atomic is just a plus. I'm kicking myself for not getting one of these sooner but now I'm looking at the Men in Smoke Grey series. Pics are from my phone so excuse the suckiness.

I'm not sure how this is possible with a plastic watch, but it just "feels" like a nicer, more expensive G than the Mudman, 6900, or 5600 I've had. Maybe it's just a mental thing.

Riseman is great. I'd still have my MIRO if it didn't have the fireman's axe in the backlight.

Nice one, Matt. G's tend to always be the go-to when needed to scratch that new watch itch. I did the same a few months ago with the newest mudman (black and gold series). Always did like the Riseman series.

And Wu - it's the backlight icons that make a few them so special and separate them from the "other" G's in the same lineup/series. Certain frogman versions had the snorkel froggie, others had no icon in the backlight. ;)
