Best place to buy a Japanese model?

Post by CGSshorty » Sun Nov 20, 2011 9:10 pm

Is there a less expensive place to buy a JDM model than ebay? I am looking for the new Army Green GW-7900KG-3JF. Thanks.

+1
I'd give the 3 amigos a try.
There are some Japanese sellers collectors use, but I haven't used or know of any.
Japanese online shops on Rakuten and Yahoo Japan also sell/ship internationally, but usually through an agent Proxy/Deputy Services who buys for you for a fee.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help guys. I really like this model but I don't want to spend $300 when the same piece in black can be bought all day for $150. I don't need it that badly, I just liked it in green and want something atomic.

check if they make that green shell on the non atomic model g7900 I think... if they do, you can by the shell and do a body swap.

edit: looks like the non atomic does come in green

I forgot where, but there is a source for g-shock parts on the net where you can pick it up. It's the same case for the atomic version. I had a yellow non atomic shell put into an atomic version once as a gift to my niece.

or buy both, do the swap and resell the g7900 as Mint

Thanks Kin, but more work than I care to put in just for a g shock. I was hoping just to find the one I want for around $200, if I can't I will just live without it.

Thanks, but that is actually the most expensive I have seen it.

I have the second one already in black, and neither of those models is atomic.

Not at that price. The same watch in black is $150 and that is all I will ever pay for a G.
