Barometric Pressure Drop

Post by rockmastermike » Tue Sep 20, 2011 2:21 pm

Nerd Alert: I walk out to gather the mail and see that the shit is about to hit 30241, so I naturally check the Baro on my ABC and the graph shows a precipitous drop meaning, well you guessed it, the shit is about to hit 30241. excuse the iphone shots:

And yes, my wife shakes her head and walks away from the demonstration

That's fantastic ... If I had that cool watch I would do exactly the same thing (and my wife would do exsctly the same thing).

Hahahaha. Ideally, you notice the barometric history before you notice the clouds in the sky.

I do the exact same thing though. I do wear my Sunnto Vector or Pathfinder a bit more often during the stormy weather months.

Back in '09, I was snapping pics the evening before a big tornado hit our area.

Believe it or not - I actually count on it. I can usually predict when some bad weather is coming, and find something to do inside for the afternoon.

Or, I COULD just check the radar on my phone, but where's the fun in that?
