The King has arrived! Fun review and initial thoughts

Move over King Arthur there's a new king in town! I'm not usually big on g-shocks as the previous one got flipped after 1 second on the wrist. I started searching around ( ) and decided that maybe I should try out another G. Initially, I wanted a G from the Master of G series but decided that I wanted something with some spice in it. Big, loud, crazy colors, and most of all: fun to wear. I noticed Adam had posted a g-shock that seemed different. It was Big, loud, had a orange color, and looked like it could fit the criteria. I decided that the King G (GX-56) would be the one. Lo and behold I found an excellent price on Amazon for a black one...so I settled for black :bird:

It arrived last tuesday and hasn't left the wrist since. It's been through hell and back in a week.

First night:
Can it handle a drunken man?
Image

Image

Well it passed with flying colors. Me: Well I've had better mornings  .

Second Night:

Can it handle the pressure from a poker game?

Image

Image

Check :salute:

Third Day (as nighttime wouldn't work well here):

How about some poke checks, body collisions, and a intense game of lacrosse?

Image

Image

Check

Fourth Day:

Let's see if it can handle some water and trout/bass.

Image

Check  It made sushi out of those fish.

Fifth Day:

Holy Crap it truly is the King...it's bigger than the SEAL

Image

Sixth Day:

A day of rest.

Seventh Day:

Can it handle DWC?

Image

Well that's for you to decide

Overall, this wasn't a review...just my thoughts. It's met all of the criteria for me. It's become my workout watch, sports watch, etc and I'm thinking I'll keep atleast one G in the collection from here on out. This G has made me realize what the hype is all about.

:headbang:

PS: I didn't play poker with it, play lacrosse with it, or really do any of the events with it except the drunken night... :bird: Just a fun way to give the king a proper introduction :banplz:

Got the gloves my senior year. Ordered them in the winter time with expected delivery in pre-season. Delivered after the season was over :cussing: Couldn't return them since they had our colors/number/logo. Next season, when I went to sell them to a kid on the team, they changed the entire uniform

yeah that would be some good times but I wonder if they would let us play with diapers on? since I might crap my pants if a lacrosse ball hits me!!!! :raised: I really don't think I could or would put up with that kind of abuse since I have gotten older.
