Forstner Or Uncle Seiko Jubilee

Post by mattcantwin » Sat Nov 25, 2023 7:00 am

I just saw Andy's thread about his Forstner bracelet; reminded me to post this thread.

I have a Tudor Pepsi GMT inbound from Nick.

I like the look of the watch on a jubilee and want to pick one up.

I'm not sure which bracelet is in first pic, but second has brushed center links so must be US.

From what I've seen, the Forstner is better quality and uses screws instead of pins.

The Uncle Seiko can use the Tudor clasp and offers the option of brushed/polished center links.

Looking for advice.

I had the Forstner and its quality is great. I’m not a fan of the Uncle Seiko bracelets, but they do make a decent half-link to use with OEM bracelets.

Also check out the Steel-Reef easy link; an extension link like Rolex provides on many models, but for Rolex, Tudor, Omega (and likely others by now).

Forster is definitely a better quality.

I've seen the Steel-Reef; I will get one if I can't hit a sweet spot on the fit of the OEM bracelet.

I'm very pleased with the Forstner Jubilee and I've just ordered the Model O with a massive £25 off for black Friday, I believe their US site is offering the same deal until Monday.
The reason I chose Forstner over the Uncle Seiko one is most of the guys here preferred the Forstner. Also the historical link with the Astronauts using the JB on their Speedmaster watches and Rolex used JB bracelets at some point back in the day too.
