In my opinion, Toshi provides the most bang for the buck in the world of leather straps.

Steinhardt sells a pretty nice leather strap. I also had one from Super Dan which is a DaLuca strap that I got in a trade deal. It was also a sweet strap but way to over priced for me. :puke:

Jason,

Sean here.

What style cases are you looking to pair up? You mentioned a sub and a omega sport watch. Do you want hides (leather) just for dress or do you want them to put in work as well? Also, any price range you're wanting to stay in? I've gone from $ teens to a custom gator from ABP that cost more than you can imagine and is worth every penny.

If you're wanting dress for a budget check out panatime for ideas on styles, etc and some decent values.

If you've seen a particular combination you love in something dressy, like say a croc, check with HKTan (WUS) custom strap maker, I had him do a custom gator for my capeland that was a bargain.

The ABP custom aged gator $$$

Croc Print Leather from Panatime (very reasonable and I swim with these after sno-seal treatment)

Sweet straps! As for your questions... I'm looking for a casual strap that looks aged or worn, supple... I think the same strap could go well with my Sub and my Speedy. I like contrast stitching but not a lot of extraneous designs. A nice buckle is a must...

Thanks again!

Some of these names have been mentioned already, they tend to be thicker straps that do well with wider lug width designs, all are craftsmen I've been pleased with.

Micah @ vintager (guy's construction is some of the best in the business)
Koon @ K-Straps

These guys do some real cool rolex specific designs.

James @ Wotoncrafts (I have one of his rolex nato's, IT IS REDICULOUS, can't wait for my kingston to put it on)

Peter @ Gunny Straps

If you search on 'Ammo Straps' or go over to the paneristi forum and check there 'strapmaker' list you'll encounter many more fine straps.

Given the size of the cases you mention, take a peak Peter's offerings for the blings, nice blend of materials, stitch work and padding for sport watches.

Good Luck J.

FWIW you can get 10% off at Panatime with either of these promo codes:

disc10
BDWF

I have always found the straps to be good bang for buck, and service/shipping has always been responsive.

Soooo many options out there it'll make your head spin.

But for ready made non custom straps I would consider H20 watch leather straps. Super quality at a super price. Check out his web store, just type H20 Watch in google.

Panatime is good for low cost off the shelf straps as well. I have a couple of their 'Mustang straps" that I bought for $10 each and are pretty awesome for the price.

Also as mentioned Josip at Diaboliq Straps prob has the best prices for custom straps out there. His canvas straps are the shit and he is an AWESOME dude. Great strap artist. I've got a bunch of his stuff.

I've got a shit ton of straps and literally need therapy because I don't know when to stop. Other noteable strapmakers i've used

Malio Straps
Maddog
SNPR
Gunny - Prob my FAV of them all
D$_Straps (Raphael)
Pirate Straps
Bond Straps
Combat Straps

Yeah, I've got MAJOR issues....And these don't include whats on the watches already...

I’ve had great experiences with Drew at Europelli http://www.europelli.com/

He actually prefers to talk over the particulars of your order. He can pretty much do whatever you ask regarding leather, thread, length, taper (or not), etc....I even asked him to oversize the lug width because I’ve had many straps shrink slightly over time in that area...he said he does it all the time.

He’s one of the few that I’ve found that makes an awesome Horween shell cordovan strap.
