Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
I got one from Aliexpress sold by the actual Chinese manufacturer who supples Barton and other resellers with these. It’s not bad but you can feel that it’s not rubber. It’s worth the 10-11 bucks I paid for mine

Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
not specific to Barton but seeing as the quick release are made to fit in the widest range of lug holes.....does the thin tip eventually cause wear and tear on a spring hole that is larger ..... does the spring bar wiggle around in there and if so can we expect any damage to the lug hole?
Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
My Barton strap doesn’t cause wear, but them again I removed the quick change bars and use the appropriate fat-end, etc. bars. I’d hazard a guess that a too-skinny bar tip will eventually gall the lug-hole.rockmastermike wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 12:09 pmnot specific to Barton but seeing as the quick release are made to fit in the widest range of lug holes.....does the thin tip eventually cause wear and tear on a spring hole that is larger ..... does the spring bar wiggle around in there and if so can we expect any damage to the lug hole?

Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
I could see long term they might cause lug damage, I am not sure. Due to the fact there is not one size fits all there is no way I would recommend them for every watch. The lack of proper fit leads to lack of security and it raises the chances of releasing. I do believe the qr bars are not 316l and the spring inside of them is is not. Personally I would not take a chance when a good spring bar is only a few dollars. Just my .02HapaHapa wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 12:17 pmMy Barton strap doesn’t cause wear, but them again I removed the quick change bars and use the appropriate fat-end, etc. bars. Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
I have 3 of these, and they are only used in my beaters. No issues with the pins, but I’ve only been using them for a few months. They do feel nice on the wrist- not IsoFrane or Toxic great, but they are very comfortable.
Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
I have a bunch of their straps. Really like them for the money...
Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
I just bought 4 for my IWC LPP. They are hard to beat for what they cost, and they have some odd sizes (21mm lugs on the LPP). All in all, they work for me and the quality is good enough- especially on their Elite rubber straps.
Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
^ Yep. I use the elite on my Bathyscaphe and it works great. 23mm lugs.
Re: Barton Elite Silicone Straps
I've got a couple of canvas ones, and so far they've worked out well.
