Options for Fixed Lug Bar Watches?

Post by namor » Fri Jan 17, 2020 1:49 pm

Besides the Olongapo bracelet, and the leather snap-ends straps, are there any other options for a fixed lug watch. Other than a nylon strap I mean.

There are a zillion after market straps made for the Garmin fenix series 22 and 26 mm

I have several in various sizes and they absolutely rock. The rubber ones are really supple and have narrow slots between holes so they are always a perfect fit

You can find leather, rubber, cloth, metal, etc.. they just snap on and and are super secure

There are many brands, but here’s a sample

I've ordered several things to try from cheapestnatostraps, including this $10 velcro strap, which comes in different colors in canvas or suede. Once it arrives, I'll be happy to give my impressions.

No, it's not Tourettes.

There are leather straps out there that look like traditional leather straps out there. The ends bend over the fixed lugs there are holes on one end were you bend it over and there are bendable metal clip that go through the holes to secure it. The clips can't be seen since there on the inside wrist side. There is one strap maker that makes them. And some bigger strap co that mass make them were there not made to order.

For some reason I wanted no metal nuts showing on my Longines and wanted it looking like a normal strap.

You can buy straps from Hirsch. Can probably custom order through a retailer in any material and store will attach it for you

Might be an extra cost for a strap that usually isn't available in an open end design
