CrafterBlue straps for Seiko Turtles? Yes [emoji106] or No[emoji107]
I am considering getting a fitted end strap for my new Seiko SRPD21.
It seems Crafter Blue straps are very popular.
Anyone here has experience with them?
Good fit? Easy install? Rubber quality?
Are they worth it? I need to get a strap this week before I go to France. I don’t like the OEM bracelet.
Thanks. Brice

BandR has nice waterproof straps with blue trim. I’ve got a couple.

The crafter blue straps are factastic. Great rubber, lots of holes.

That "tropic" looks great. Why not wear it on that?

I love my crafters blue on the Turtle:

I'll get one for my SKX too. Have also tried those and they are great.
The OEM turtle rubber is very good too, but I like fitted straps better.

I did not like the CB on the SKX or Sumo. It looks great and is well made, but it is very stiff and didn’t conform to my wrist.
I haven’t tried one on the Turtle, so take my comments for what they’re worth.

I didn't like it on any of the watches I tried it on including the Seiko MM. Not to mention keeper tried to rip all the hair off my wrist .

They work for some guys. CB kind of pissed on my boots a few times. Two times in a row I pre-ordered a strap from them and they sent the same one. Then they never answered my emails. The replacement straps just showed up with no communication.
But try one first. Your experience might be different.

So, I really like the one I have for my Samurai. I also have the gray variant for my Pelagos, but haven’t used it yet.
However, I’ll echo what Terry said about both the customer service and the keeper. Took forever to ship the Samurai strap and very limited communication from Crafter Blue. The Pelagos strap came promptly and communication was excellent......but I bought that one from RMM (Thanks Mike!).
The keeper is too big, slides all over the place and will definitely bite and take out arm hair. I “fixed” that with a small piece of self adhesive Velcro (the loop side) placed on the inside of the keeper. Fits nice and snug now and doesn’t move. It is a little ridiculous to have to do that on a strap that costs what this one does though.

Gave one a try. It’s a quality rubber strap but the curvature of the fitted lugs is too tight on my wrist. I changed the keeper to a generic rubber one I had from some old rubber strap because that metal keeper is ridiculous

The metal keeper is terrible. If you like the metal keeper look, the one from the Seiko rubber strap fits fine and looks a million times better.Panerai7 wrote:Gave one a try. I love the CB on my MM300.
I can't comment on the buckle versions as the MM300 version uses the stock deployant clasp. Maybe that's why I like it so much as it is very fitted and adjusts easily.

That’s what I have on it now but I’m not a fan of the Isofrane style anymore. Sold all my Isofranes and others like Borealis in that style. Terry’s magnum is my only one left in that Iso style. It’s super nice and soft. Don’t want a strap with holes all over.four20 wrote:although not fitted, Terry's Magnum works beautifully on the turdle

I know you were soliciting rubber, but the blue Rogue NATO would look fantastic on that (it does on the STO. Don’t wear natos much. I have a bunch and I hardly ever use them. I have one from Terry that will look good on it though. I’ll try it this weekend before we leave.four20 wrote:I know you were soliciting rubber, but the blue Rogue NATO would look fantastic on that (it does on the STO.
